Neighborhood Stabilization Efforts in New York City – August 2012

Habitat for Humanity New York City ("Habitat-NYC") has received grant funding from U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), under the second round of Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Habitat-NYC is seeking to utilize these funds to fund the acquisition, rehabilitation and redevelopment of abandoned and vacant properties as housing, in select communities in Brooklyn. With this announcement we are updating the target geography to delete the following census tracts:

Additionally, we are updating our total NSP2 award of $20,604,936 to a total award of $21,004,936. This new award amount represents $400,000 in additional funds awarded to Habitat-NYC.

Habitat-NYC is seeking to utilize these funds to fund the acquisition, rehabilitation and redevelopment of abandoned and vacant properties as housing, in select communities in Brooklyn. With this announcement we are updating the target geography to remove census tract 36047029500 in Brooklyn and add census tract 36047028100 in Brooklyn.
