Neighborhood Stabilization Efforts in New York City – August 2012 Habitat for Humanity New York City ("Habitat-NYC") has received grant funding from U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), under the second round of Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Habitat-NYC is seeking to utilize these funds to fund the acquisition, rehabilitation and redevelopment of abandoned and vacant properties as housing, in select communities in Brooklyn.
