Habitat-NYC offers affordable, high-quality condo and co-op apartments in Central Brooklyn for first-time homebuyers. These units, in historic Bedford–Stuyvesant and Ocean Hill–Brownsville, are in new and renovated buildings. All homes are healthy and energy–efficient, and many are built to LEED standards. They promise working families savings on utility bills, plus the stability, safety and space they need to grow and thrive.

Habitat’s residences house 2 – 6 people; buyers must comply with our income guidelines. Monthly housing costs will total no more than 33% of gross income. Habitat requires a cash down payment of just 1%, and offers 30–year mortgages at a low 2% interest rate, in partnership with the State of New York Mortgage Agency (SONYMA). First–time homebuyers receive financial and home maintenance training to ensure their success.
