ReStore Operations Assistant (Part time)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer the Donation Hotline phone and emails to respond to donation inquiries and schedule donation pick-ups.
  • Strategically and efficiently schedule donation pick-ups located throughout all 5 boroughs and Nassau County.
  • Greet and walk in-store donors through the donation process.
  • Ensure that all donors understand how their contributions further the mission of the organization.
  • Log donation receipt information and will work with the staff in developing a “thank you”/donor recognition system for ReStore donors.
  • Work with staff and AmeriCorp*VISTA in donation data analysis.
  • Run the store cash register when required
  • Aid in other daily operations such as stocking the sales floor, helping customers in-store, and assisting on the donation truck as needed.

Time Commitment: Part Time, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 11:30am — 7:30pm, (Hours may vary)
Compensation: $12/hour

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Data entry experience. Fast learner and positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (tools are provided to aid in lifting). Experience answering phones and customer service.
  • Must have a valid New York Driver’s License
  • Able to speak Spanish preferred
