AUGUST 3, 2014 - It’s been nearly two years since Hurricane Sandy devastated parts of New York. And now, thanks to Habitat for Humanity, some Staten Island and Brooklyn victims are finally able to repair their homes.
JUNE 20, 2014 - One after another, caseworkers entered the small, stuffy Downtown Brooklyn conference room — the court of last resort. There, the panel members of something called the New York City Unmet Needs Roundtable, managed by New York Disaster Interfaith Services and financed by private donors, reviewed requests for overlooked victims of Hurricane Sandy.
JUNE 17, 2014 - They have pedaled their way from Florida and Friday, June 20, the Cabot Community Tour cyclists will wheel into New Dorp Beach where they will treat Habitat for Humanity volunteers to a hardy lunch.
