January 29, 2020 —In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, 400 volunteers including members of the Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity participated in MLK Day of service at the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Center in Harlem. All our volunteers came to lend a helping hand in priming walls, painting offices, restoring a client waiting area and assembling care packages for families in local shelters.

January 21, 2020 — In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day dozens of volunteers from The Abyssinian Baptist Church in the City of New York, Inc. Staten Island Academy Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. New Light Baptist Church NYC and more to the Catholic Charities of New York's Joseph P Kennedy Memorial Center to paint the housing assistance offices.
